WIN Marathon Welcomes Bruce Raymer

Bruce (Brooks/Elliptigo Canada), a world class runner, will be hosting the WIN Marathon 5K running clinic as an 8 week program. The clinic, which will be held at the Tim Hortons on Victoria St. in Whitby, will start on Sunday March 14th and run every Sunday until race day morning, May 27th, 2012. Cost of the program is $59.99. Bruce will lead the pack and I will also be involved at the back of pack. More info to follow.

Enhanced WIN Marathon Website Launched

The Whitby International (WIN) Marathon executive unveiled its new website today. The revised site is designed to provide an optimal user experience through any device and/or web browser. Information regarding race events, registration, merchandise, and other areas of interest to runners and sponsors is found easily and quickly through the intuitive design interface.

Key information related to Durham Region's premiere marathon event is currently available on the website at www.winmarathon.com, with many more scheduled enhancements to be included in the near future.


Abilities Centre Named WIN Marathon Charity

The WIN Marathon executive is pleased to announce that $1 from every 3rd Annual Whitby International Marathon (WIN) registration will be donated to the new Abilities Centre in Whitby. Participants and/or supporters may also make a direct contribution to the Centre by clicking here. For more information on the Abilities Centre, please browse the Our Charity section of our website.

Over the past 2 years, WIN has contributed over $32,000 to local charities.
